Release an excel file from it's dependencies

    Hi,

I don't know if i express my self well or not...
I have an excel file with a quite intricate chart with the name "Chart No1",
and what I want to achieve is to release that file (when I open it) from it's dependencies, so it's name will be from know "untitled" - just like when you create a new excel file, and press on "save" (not save as), it doesn't save on the original, because there isn't original...
How di I do this with macro?

    Thanks...

    Hi,

I want to open a file of excel that saved on my computer.
Then to realese that file from it's name using macro, and then because it doesn't have a file name, when I'll press on "save" the software will ask me where to save it.

So basically, your original file is a template? And when the user opens the file - you want them to have to be forced to save it as something new correct?

    **edit**

A quick and easy way to do this would involve just setting the property of the workbook to readonly. This way when the user clicks save, they cant save it as the original file, and it prompts them to save it as another file.
