Consolidating data by specific date

I am looking to create a summary tab based upon data in a worksheet that is entered on a daily basis. The title headings on both the data tab along with the summary tab are the same. Need to know how I can either by use of formulas or a pivot table create a summary tab that would allow me to choose a specific date and receive all data for the respective columns in total for that date. This excel file is using excel version 2010.
