Problem setting Chart Transparency - Points

The following code works. But depending on the order of the solid property
point transparency will either work or not work. (The code highlights this)

Can someone explain what is going on and why the solid property appears to
have to be defined before the gradient property.

I want to expand the previous code (slightly) and add some code where not only
is Transparency ignored but the .TwoColorGradient is also ignored.

It appears - but I am not certain - that it is the order of the SOLID property that
dictates whether some of the other properties fire - as I would expect.
.
I cannot find any documentation or a google search example explaining this.
