    Smile Excel notifications to outlook

    Hi,

Im looking for a way for Excel to send me email notifications to my email, or to alert outlook when dates in outlook are within one week.

Im a total novice to this, so if you reply, layman terms normally go down well with me.

    Any help would be great.

    Kind Regards

    David

    Hi,

I think you should take a look at this page and try to make the code work for you.

This is a guide to sending emails with excel:

    Part 1:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ice.11%29.aspx

    Part 2:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ice.11%29.aspx

After you've read threw this, try making your code, if you cant get it to work post back here.

    Hi David

Sounds like you wish to import the Outlook Calendar to Excel, monitor the dates in Excel...if the date is within one week send email or alert Outlook such that you get a message.

Outlook has a notification feature built into the Outlook Calendar...why not use it?

Seems a bit like reinventing the wheel.
