Filtering Data: Keeping Rows of Information Intact

    Good Morning (My Time):

I have rows of data with 4-5 columns of different statistics if you will.

When recording a macro, If I try to filter something out it wont keep the rows together it'll just sort that column. Now everything is jumbled for each row where I want to keep it the same for each row. Is there a way to alter my vba so that it keeps all rows together and will filter out that entire row if there's something in a column for that row that I don't want to see?

I will attach my code when I finish my cigarette if it will help but its just a basic filter that im making via macro record point and click.

Once I get this portion done ill only have two more steps left to my little "Program". IM STOKED ! ! ! 2 months in the making which u guys could have probably designed in a single night. :-P

It's difficult to troubleshoot code if we can't see the code. Finish off the cig, then post the code and we'll try to help. If you want the best possible help, include a copy of the workbook.

    Okay,

    Please see the attached spreadsheet.

We are going to focus on the actions of the MPH and TPS buttons.

The buttons are self explanatory I hope, so look at the corresponding Macros for each one, and what I want done is to remove complete rows where the information doesn't match these standards.

This is a truck tuning spreadsheet to tune the computer for max fuel efficiency based on fuel tables. Ir-relevant but thought i'd let you guys know.

If you have any questions at all before helping just let me know i'll be here all day!

Fast Moving Forum; Therefore i'm hoping it's okay to bring this back to the top. If not i'll refrain from doing so next time, just excited to move forward from this stumble.

It's okay to bump a thread but you should typically wait at least 24 hours to do it.

    Hi BCosette,

I can take a look at your file when I get home. I unfortuantely don't have Excel 2007 at work, and I'd hate for compatibility issues if we change the format to xls. If someone else would like to tackle the problem in the meantime, that is fine. Otherwise, I will help resolve after work today.

    Best of luck.

    Unfortunately, YES!

Excel 2007 and 2010 are compatible. Earlier versions are incompatible.
