Wink Find a Name in a sign up sheet

I have a spreadsheet which is a "sign-up" sheet. I also have another sheet (sheet B) that is a list of names. When someone enters their name in the sign up sheet, I would like the other sheet (sheet B) to be populated with a "yes" In the next column next to the person's name that is on the list (Sheet B).

    I tried =IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(B6,'Sign Up Sheet'!$A:$A,0)),"Yes","")
in each cell in B which was very close but only worked if the data was in one column .... I was hoping the formula would look in multiple columns such as this: =IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(B6,'Sign Up Sheet'!$B3:$R43,0)),"Yes","") But that does not seem to work. I replaced the 'Sign Up Sheet'!$A:$A with B3:R43 because a person could put their name anywhere in the sign up sheet...

BTW.. Thank you for your quick reply... This is really going to help me today!

Re: Find a Name in a sign up sheet

    Try:

    =IF(COUNTIF('Sign Up Sheet'!$B3:$R43,B6)>0,"Yes","")
Where there is a will there are many ways.
