Compare as single list to 12 other lists

    Hi,

    The situation:

In col A2 I have a list of invoice numbers which have note tied up through the 12 months period.

In Col D2-O2 I have the missing/unmatched invoices from each month, in Row, D1-O1 I have Jan, Feb -> Dec

What I am looking to do is to compair the list in Col A, and In Col B, if the invoice number matches, return the Month the match occures, I.E. if the Invoice if found in the Feb list I would like Col B to return Cell E1 (Feb)

I would like this to be done formula based if possible, but I am open to VBA solutions.

    Your Help is much appreciated

    Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Could you post a dummy workbook? Depending on the workbook structure, you may be able to use VLOOKUP or INDEX + MATCH.

I took a look at your excel file and I still don't understand what you are attempting to do. Could you enumerate specifically what is being compared against what and where you want the end result to placed in the excel sheet.
