print on pdf printer - adjust filename & save

    Hi,

I am currently working on a way to export a number of worksheets from my excel sheet as PDF files, however, due to my environment using office 2003 I am in need of plugins respectively virtual printers to do so.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
The code above is supposed to sort out which sheets need to be printed, send them via .print to the virtual pdf printer, stop the application process for 2 seconds to give the program time to run its routine, and then via sendkeys (yes, i know....) punch in the filename and hit enter to save the file.

For whatever reasons however, the pdf printer window is popping up without delay nor modifaction of the filename and once I press SAVE manually, the computer freezes for a while, doing nothing.

Any clues on this one? I dont find it attractive to manually save and edit the filename of 40 worksheets.... Any help is appreciated!

I am using a software called virtual PDF printer. Anyway, does that actually matter? I am wondering since the actually used part of that software is merely the printer...?

Anyway, operations wise, as soon as the print button is pushed, a save as window pops up asking me for the filename.

    Thanks a lot

    I wouldn't ask if it didn't matte.

You need to change the printer to whatever the pdf printer is

I am well aware of this and if you have a look at the macro you will see that i am sending the print job to the printer called "virtual PDF printer", which happens to be printer created by the specific software. My point is this that it doesnt matter what software you should be using for this macro since the principle of cute pdf, free pdf, virtual pdf, etc. Is always the same. My point of confusion is why the macro is not kicking in when the save window appears, respectively if this problem is related to the software.

Anyways, anyone can recommend an alternative to mass producing PDFs from excel?

    Thanks,
