Summing specific entries based on criteria

Hello again,

I am trying to get a count of the number of meals that need to be prepared based on an order. So for instance an order is place from the 15-20 May for 5 lunchs each day obviously the total lunches for 15-20 is 5 if thats the only order placed. I have a long (and growing) list of numbers that I am trying to have a new way to calculate.

Currently I have used sumproduct to count the entries that fall within a range but I cannot figure out the proper format to be able to add the Values of each meal.

As I have probably made that very confusing attached is a sample.

Have a look at the attachment to see if it's okay. I've used a slightly different layout to the one you suggested on the Count tab because it makes the formula easier.

=SUMPRODUCT(--($B$2:$B$7<=$I2),--($C$2:$C$7>=$I2),D$2:D$7)
