Hi,
My objective is:
If I type "3" in cell A1 then the moment I press Enter key, "3" should be replaced by October 3 2011
Similarly, "4" by October 4 2011 and so on.
The problem I am facing using "Replace" and "Substitute" functions is that it is reported as "Circular Reference".
Please tell me a way to resolve this

Even if you were able to get a formula to work as soon as you typed a value into the cell it would overwrite it. You can have one cell to hold the value and another the formula or use VBA to achieve this.
