Trying to find average

Thank you for assisting me. What I am trying to do is find the average points scored and points given up by each team. Included is the excel file with all the data laid out. I just don't know how to set up the formulas.

To my mind ConneXionLost gives you the correct results (it must be that moderator status

)

but here are two alternatives to give the same results

=AVERAGEIF($A$125:$B$370,A59,$C$125:$D$370)

and an array formula

=AVERAGE(IF($A$125:$B$370=A59,IF({0,1},$C$125:$C$370,$D$125:$D$370)))

That latter one needs to be confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER
