Can Column Formatting based on the Data Content and the Column Headings be maintained

Can Column Formatting based on the Data Content and the Column Headings be maintained even when the Columns change their Location?

    Dear Forum,

Based on certain data the Columns have specific Font COlour, Number and Text and Currency Formats and also some formulas have values too..

Now this is done in the beginning however when there is a requirement to add an additional column in the existing design then the complete formatting goes for a toss..

Then the Entire Formatting has to be changed all over again which is based on the data it contains, so is it possible for the code to move the formatting based on the Column_heading i.e. Title.

    Example:

In Column A- Sr. No has a Number Format and the Column B has Text Format as it contains AlphaNumeric Text...

Now each of these columns has specific format which I need to maintain even when I change their postions as the Sub-Routines contain the actual column references it does not move with the data..so how do I make it dynamic so that the sub-routines which apply the formatting and the specific formulas also move when the column positions are changed..

Please find the attachment to understand better..

I want to add one more column in between somewhere such as Phase where there would be 1-8 Phases which I want to show up in ROMAN Numerals ( Different Query)

But if I insert it in between COl A and the Existing COL B then the present COL B becomes COL C and it gets the FOrmatting meant for the COL C..

SO how do i do this?

    Warm Regards

    Bump No Response

I have already made the File with different formatting for each Column bAsed on the nature of the data in it..

Want to know whether this can achieved even after changing the Columns here and there as the formatting macros are doing for only the Column and not considering the values i it ..so is t possible to keep atrack of the columns and apply the Macro in a way taht they always apply to the desired column even after the Data Columns change their psoitions after moving the columns or inserting any additional columns..

Want to lock the formatting macro as everytime anew column is added in between i have to make changes everywhere..

    Whenver I use a

Re: Can Column Formatting based on the Data Content and the Column Headings be mainta

Please can someone help me on this as everytime the references are changed I have to re-write the entire code in the VBA MOdule,

I am not so good to know other ways and therefore resort to a Formulaic Approach of writing the codes.

If by any way the code designed for a particular type of Column HEading is decided then I want this to stay with it irrespective of the COlumn being changed.

So please suggest me a better option for the same.

    Warm Regards
