A certain cell value to look at info from a certain table

Hi,

Question number 2 of (who only knows!).

What formula would i use and how would i use it to pull information from different tables depending on the value of that certain cell?

For example:

• I want cell A1 show the information
• If A2 was "1" or a word, it would report on cell Sheet2!A3
• If A2 was "2" or another number it would report on cell Sheet2!A7
• And so on for numerous numbers or words

I know it is going to be a very long formula, that doesnt bother me as long as it can do what i need it to. I really hope this makes sense, its hard trying to describe something like this in words!

OK, i have managed to answer my own question just by playing around. I am going to use a very long "if" formula.

However, my criteria has now changed.

Using the above scenario can i amend it so that:
A2="1" or a word AND A3="1" or a word it takes the data from Sheet2!A5
A2="1" or a word AND A3="2" or another word it takes the data from Sheet2!A6
A2="1" or a word AND A3="3" or another word it takes the data from Sheet2!A7
A2="2" or a word AND A3="1" or another word it takes the data from Sheet2!B5
A2="2" or a word AND A3="2" or another word it takes the data from Sheet2!B6

Does that make sense??? It does in my head!

Ok, this is getting stupid now. I cant even make it work with multiple IF formulas.

How do i make it that one value in one cell brings up one answer and a different value in the same cell brings up a different value?
