How do I display the month correctly in a Chart Title

Hi All. I have a chart that displays cumulative totals based on the month selected from a drop down named "Month". The title of the chart is taken from a cell where I have the text: "Cumulative Sales for " and I then use the "&" to concatenate the named range "Month". In order to do the sorting and matching for the chart, the monthsmust be in numerical form in the drop down (i.e. 4/1/2011, 5/1/2011 and so on). But when I reference "Month" in the chart title, it displays the computer version of the month (i.e., 40634 for April, 40664 for May and so on). Is there anyway around this?
