    Automatically Populate Pivot Table

    Hi all,

I'm currently learning how to implement a macro that automatically creates a pivot table from an array of data. This is perhaps a long shot, but is there any way the same pivot table can be populated with more and more data as a macro is being run, but the raw data populating that table is not itself being saved?

The reason I ask is I envisage a huge number of data being generated (>200,000 rows), and it would be great if these data went straight into the pivot table and didn't clog up the rest of the file.

    Any help gratefully appreciated

A pivot table is a summary of the raw data. So you cannot have the pivot table without the raw data. Though you can have the raw data in a file, create the pivot and then either delete the raw data or move it to another file to reduce the file size of the pivot file.
