i was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at how I made up my userform. I took a screen shot of it, and brought it into paint to add some arrows that hopefully explain what i hope to accomplish with this interface.
of course, i already showed my fellow teachers how it looks, and they love it !!! i really wanna come through on this
(background: it's a new scoring procedure for every teacher for every class that needs to happen after each class... i'm trying to automate the process as much as possible in the hopes to make it as quick a process as possible... each student gets 1 score per class, and it has to be one of the options as i have laid it out)...
the teacher will select his/her name, which will then populate the class combobox specific to his/her classes. selecting the class will then changes all the "student name" labels to the students in that class. a score is selected for each kid using the appropriate option button.
each student has his own spreadsheet (all of them laid out exactly the same) with all classes in column A, and the dates in row 1.
i wanted to minimize "pilot error" so i included a NOW function to display the date of the class. i'd like that date to be used for the column finder...
then in theory, the score for each student will go to the appropriate spreadsheet, and subsequently into the right cell, the row designated by the class name, and the column designated by the date.
(i realize i bit off more than i can chew with this project, but as a new teacher in the school, i'd really like to impress the rest of the staff )
thanks for reading and any help you can share
