    auto filter macro, select columns

    Hi ya'll,

I have a macro that I am using to filer a spreadsheet to only show rows and columns that have numbers in them. I would like to tweak this somewhat to allow me to show/hide different columns (or run the 'alternate' show/hide column macro first to get the right columns available and then run my existing macro to filer remaining rows and columns?).
I would like a macro to do this, perhaps with a pop up window asking which columns to show/hide (ie. A:C, L:N, P) - something like that - and the reason why I want a macro for it, as opposed to doing it manually is that other users with only very basic skills will be using the sheets to pull reports and only want to see certain columns per report....if anyone has any better ideas, I'm all for that too...TIA, workbook attached.

not clear for the need of hiding columns. AUTOFILTER automatically hides rows not under condition.
in the filtered range you can choose any columns you like

It would be helpful if you explain CLEARLY WITH SOME EXAMPLES what is the end aim is.
you can also please post the end result of the project

Re: auto filter macro, select columns

The reason why I need the option of which columns to hide is, as I stated above, other users (with very basic skills - too difficult to try to teach them all show/hide columns etc.) will be pulling reports and only wish to see certain columns (so they need an easy way to select which columns to hide - as in the pop up window asking which columns to show).
I don't think I need a new worksheet to demonstrate this - we will use the example that user1 only wants to see columns that show "Acting" hours, so the end result will only show columns [E:F, H:I, J:K, AD:AH] and let's say user2 only wants to see "Tech" hours, so the end result will only show columns [Y:AC]. Once the correct columns are shown, they can use my existing macro to hide all rows/columns that have no data.
    TIA
