    macro copying data into diffrent worksheets

    Hi friends,

    i have excel file where it has report period in column a, subsequently data downwards,the macro has to copy between two report period andvry report period should paste it to the next sheet , so every report period should in separate sheets.

    the sheet is attached.

    can some body help me on this

    Ok this is fine. Do you want only data under the headers to be copied? What should the sheets be named?

    from one report period to other report period it all the data should be copied to the new sheet , with name as data 1 ,data 2

    Use this code. Open the excel file, press Alt+F11, you will see a code window open. On the left hand side, right click on Microsoft excel objects and insert module. Copy the code below into the module. Save the file. Go to Tools->Macro -> Macros (or Alt+F8) and run the macro.

    hi thanks for the help , its awesome , fantastic now ords to explain , my 20% of the work on a daily basis is reduced , you have made the magic for me. one more help please now the data is into different sheets , now i want to combine the data , which has unique producer name data into one sheet.if i have only one data for the producer name that will be in a separate sheet.with the sheet name as producer name.

    So do you want the data in the same format with reporting period, report run date, etc? Or just the table data one below the other?

    Wouldnt it be better to segregate the data into producer-wise sheets at the first instance itself?

    fantastic man, realy amazing , the last one for me , please , the sheets now with the producer name , can it converted into pdfs with the producer name, in that sheets report period to report period should come in one page . and get save in d:\pdf\ . if this is done that all it is . and i don't know how to thank you for the help. if this is possible let me know.

    Hey my pleasure. Thanks for the rep points too. Your file can be converted to pdf but i have never done it before. Sorry. What you could do is post a separate thread regarding this and someone will surely help you out.
