I need a piece of code that changes the layer of gridlines to top layer in Excel 2010. Preferably in that way, you only have to apply this change once.

You can not change the layer that grid lines are displayed on.
What exactly are you trying to achieve? Maybe a example file would help illustrate what you currently have and what you need.
