Completely freeze column

Hi all,

Searching net hasn't been succesfull. I'm trying to find a solution on how to freeze a column so that it is always visible regardless where user decides to scroll to. I need range C2:C60 to be frozen (or whole column). The point is that this range is full of buttons and user needs to access them with ease. I have tried split screens, freeze panes etc., but nothing gives me a desired effect.

Any ideas guys?

hi Abstraktus,
if you click on cell d1 and then select first option from freeze panes you have frozen columns a,b and c. is this what you want?

Hi John, freezing panes is not an option. I need to have this column frozen (static) even if you scroll down or across. Thanks for your effort anyway.

Hi, abstraktus. I'm not an expert, but I think that is not possible.
Instead it's possible you to put those buttons in a row (row 1, for example), make a split screens and then they are always visible in a simple row, instead of a column.
Hope this help you.

Re: Completely freeze column

As far as I know, there is no way to do what you want, the way you want to do it. An option might be to put them in Col A, and then just freeze that col? It sounds like you almost want that col to "float" in the ss
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Why not make a toolbar instead? Or even a userform?
Good luck.

Re: Completely freeze column

Thanks guys. I will probably go for a frozen top row as it seems there's no way to freeze the column so that when you scroll down, objects always float (remain visible). Thanks for your effort guys.
