    Data Populating

    Afternoon:

    Have a issue with a excel file i will do my best to explain.

    What i am trying to do is simply this - Have two columns with a range of rows, First column, any row can contain any of the following words -

    fault, referred, maintenance, riser, 6UDrop, 11UDrop, Minor, Connectors, Temp

    In the next column in the same row, the proper code must show up -

    S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S7, S8

    Any Help would be very welcome, if you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks

    Steve

    ="S"&ROW()-1
    and copy down.

    did i understand correctly ?

    I have created a drop down list in your workbook that you can select the keywords and then it will auto populate Column M for you - it is a simple Select Case command placed into the worksheet with the data

    See attached workbook - The drop down lists are in column D
