    Combining VBA with MS-DOS

    Hi all,

    I am attempting the following.

    Please let me know if there is anyone here who's ventured down this seemingly treacherous path.

    What are you trying to do in DOS? Most things that DOS can do can also be done in Excel directly, which would be a lot more straightforward.

    If you really, really must use DOS then the obvious thing to do would be to have Excel create a batch file (a text file with a .BAT extension) which can then be run. A batch file can contain any DOS commands, or indeed any instructions that are recognised at the command line.
