worksheet visible whilst macro running

In previous version of Excel I used the following line to stop the task pane being refreshed during calculations.

With Selection.CommandBars("Task Pane").Visible = False

Unfortunately this command is no longer valid. Does anyone know the new version?

Would a "Application.ScreenUpdating = False" at the beginning of your function and a "Application.ScreenUpdating = True" at the end fix your problem?

Scantron thanks that is exactly what I was looking for. I had got myself bogged down in looking for task pane, and completely oveerlooked the correct solution. Appreciate your help.

Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
