Copy data but leave target cell blank

    Hi you'll,

    Cell Data!A5 has a value.
This value is copied to Grades!A5 through this formula ="Select " & TEXT(Data!A5,)
the cell in Grades has a hyperlink to select an entire row.
What I like to achieve is when Data!A5 is blank, Grades!A5 also stays blank and not shows "select".

    Any bright ideas any one?

    Marco.

    Thanks Dave,

    The result is #Value.
When I change it to =IF(Data!A5="","Select " & TEXT(Data!A5,)) it returns True when Data!A5 is populated and "Select when Data!A5 is blank.

    Any ideas?

    Marco.
