I am looking for a way to determine page counts from links.
I have a long list of entries and each entry (row) can have up to three links to Word or PDF files. What I need is a way to check each link and enter the file page count into the empty cell next to the link. I will add a blank column after each link column. Some rows have only one link but no one row can have more than three.

Hello Darren,
To obtain the page count for any document requires the document to be first opened. I don't know which macro or what code would be need for a PDF. The Word document page count can be gotten using VBA or if you are using Excel 2003 or earlier by an Excel4 macro.

What could even work is if I ran one column of links at a time and returned the results to
the empty column to the right. Anyway to pull it from the document properties in a tricky way?
