Help Please w/ Run-time error '1004' Unable to set the Hidden property of the Range Class

Hello Team,

I've written the below code to hide certain columns based on the value of a cell, but it gives me the error when I try to protect the sheet and hide the column where my drop down reference list exists. What can I add to prevent this error?

After toying with it a bit, I find that hiding the drop down reference list has no effect on my ability to run the macro while the sheet is unprotected.
