Creating a password validation in a userform

Hi All,

Need some pointers on the following problem:

I am using a userform to do data entry into an excel. However I don't want all data operators to have access to the underlying excel. For this I have put a button with the code as below:

It displays a textbox and prompts for a password. On putting the correct password the userform closes and teh excel comes in view. However I am unable to put a new button that will trigger the password validation and fire the IF rules.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It would be helpful to see the workbook with code and data in context.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately most of the content in the excel and userform is proprietary and would need a lot of sensitization before I can post it. To give a bit of context the form takes inputs on certain simple numeric fields and records them as individual entries in the excel. The excel by default is hidden using:

I just want that anybody who wants to see the excel carries a specific static password.
