Question Problem running simple macro in Excel 2010

Hi, I teach Excel at TAFE and one of the things the students are taught is to create very simple macro, for example, a macro for adding a code file name and code date to the footer. This worked fine in 2003 and 2007 but will not work in Excel 2010. As the code is exactly the same in 2007 and 2010, I presume that some setting needs changing but I cannot find anything to change. Can anyone help please? Thanks.
