Worksheets (1 x worksheet in 5 different workbooks) combined into one 'mastersheet'

    Hi

I am attempting to have a master sheet that updates (i.e. adds all/any new rows) from 5 different spreadsheets (1 sheet from 5 different workbooks).

All 5 spreadsheets have the same column headings, but will definitely contain a different number of rows ... furthermore, the number of rows will increase each day as the sheet owner adds new information. Not sure if it makes a difference, but the information will contain both numbers and text, some of which are validated, some of which aren't.

Basically, i want to be able to see everyone's information on one spreadsheet and report/analyse it weekly.

From what I have been reading, I am sure this must be possible via a macro? I just have no idea where to start!

Many thanks in advance of any help you may be able to give me.

Hi Nat, welcome to the forum.

No need to post a sample workbook, as the topic has been covered hundreds of thousands of times already. Try searching the forum for "vba combine workbooks" and you'll see a myriad of examples.

    Hi again,

I managed to find a macro that did exactly what i was after (takes data from 5 different sheets and stacks it all into a master sheet)... except that, unfortunately, it only captures filtered data from the 5 sheets.

I wonder if it is possible to have a macro that takes all data from the 5 worksheets, regardless of whether or not the invidivual users of the sheets have data filtered at the time of running the macro?

The code I am currently using is:
