Calculate Selected Cells Only - With Progress Indicator

Whilst lurking on this great forum recently I stumbled across a post that I thought was going to solve a problem I'm having. Alas, for the life of me I cannot find that thread again

So I thought I'd sign up and ask the question myself to see if one of you clever people can help.

I'm looking for a macro (?) that will refresh the calculations in only the cells I have highlighted. This could be just one cell, part of a column/row, an entire column/row, a table etc.

The kicker is, I would like some kind of visual representation of how far along the process Excel is. Something like a progress bar or count down.

Is that at all possible??
