race time time calculation and recording

Hi

I am new here so hello to everybody. I am involved with footrace that has 100 competitors (www.kingof the mountain.com.au) I am looking for a macro that will give me the finishing times for the runners. I want to start a timer at the beginning of the race and as the runners finish click on the cell next to their name and have the time recorded in a format that I can sort on.
