    Macro to rename sheet

Hello everyone, this is my first post, how's it going. Hoping this crew can help me out. Here it goes:

I want to create 12 excel spreadsheets for the calendar(Jan-Dec) and I want each spreadsheet to have a macro that will rename the sheets for the days of the month, excluding Sundays(only mon-sat). I’d like each sheet to have the following format(7.5.12, 7.6.12…)
I found an excellent macro on here from user “shg”

but this only does the renaming of the sheets for the current month. I’d like to create monthly future spreadsheets for 2012, 2013, and so on. Any help would great be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Re: Macro to rename sheet

Do you want the macro to create separate workbooks for each month of this year?

To make it easier for you for future years, you can have a popup box in your macro which asks you, which year you want to create the files for, and then proceed. Will this work for you?

    Re: Macro to rename sheet

    Thanks for your reply!
no i don't need it to create separate workbooks(but that would be cool, but not necessary) i can do that manually for each month once i get the macro code.
As far as a popup box in the macro which asks which year you want to create the files for, and then proceeding, that would work. Operators will work on this file so i kinda want it locked down so they can't mess around(only input data).

    thanks.

You do not need separate workbooks?

Then how do you want the data in one file? Shouldnt there be 1 workbook created for each month, with 30/31 sheets in that workbook?
