    Question Returning all values based on criteria

    Hi, hope you are all looking forward to the weekend.

    Am trying to use Vlookup (which may be wrong) to solve an issue I have.

    IN sheet1 I have a list of tasks in column A, some other values in B to D and then people's names in column E for who is responsible for that task. People have various tasks assigned to them.

    In Sheet 2 I have chosen one of the people's names and want to automatically pull in all the tasks assigned to their name. So sheet 2 should display:

    A1 Simon
    B1 Do homework
    A2 Simon
    B2 Go home

    How can I do this especially as the tasks are plenty with various different people against them and it needs to just pull in row after row the ones relevant to that person?

    Why do you say that VLOOKUP, does not work for you? It seems to can do this with this function or INDEX&MATCH..

    Can you upload a small sample workbook?

    Sure.

    So sheet 1 has the data

    I need the results pulled in to sheet 2. Vlookup allowed me to pull in one of them but cant see how I can ask it to find the next one and list below rather than pulling in the same result again

    So Simon, apologize for the delay.

    I Used one way with Array formulas(C+S+E). Not just Enter.

    For the name, used this.
