Use ODBC connection without setting it up in ODBC administration

    Hello. Hope somebody can help.

I'm connecting to an AS400 iseries from Excel using an ODBC connection.

I have everything working... But I would like to make my application better / more efficient.

Currently to make it work I need to set up the ODBC connection from with in windows. Once this is set up I just have to reference the name of the ODBC connection in the code below.

So I will need it to reference the ODBC details to connect to but not ones in windows.

Or.. have separate formula to create the connection in windows and give is a DSN.
Any ideas or help be appreciated.

If anybody requires more information let me know.

    Thanks in Advance
