Good afternoon,
Running Excel 2007 and am trying my best to find all the help I can to perform the tasks I want automated. Not sure if I went about getting to this point the right way or not, but I now have a manageable list of parts that I now want to sort by vendor and merge all duplicates into one master order. I have attached my file but not sure I can properly explain what I need... here goes !!
I have deleted the other tabs and what they are doing, so please focus on the "Material Order" tab. You see my filtered list of material (from a different source in the correct spreadsheet tab) starting in cell H4. Because of my filtering and data parsing, the columns may not make sense or show "#N/A" but I can work that out myself. From here I would like a list that starts in cell A3 that would identify all duplicate parts that have a quantity associated, and then sort that list by vendor. I am identifying correct part numbers by the "H" column and if it has a valid number in it or not. All other rows are kind of junk really, at least as far as my material order is concerned.
If someone felt compelled to go through the entire process that I envision, then let me know. Due to some sensitive nature, I did not include the complete spreadsheet and the inner workings. I am 100% sure that my limited Excel knowledge got me in the correct places and formats and data transactions, but all my help came from this forum so that is good !!!
Thanks in advance,
Tom
