I need to be able to count the number of weekends between two dates and have the option to turn weekends off and on if you look at the attached sheet this might help you understand what I am trying to do, as it stands it works but I have to enter the weekend dates manually.

ahh didnt think of that. here's another way to do it then:
=WEEKNUM(E22,2)-WEEKNUM(E21,2)+1
this will give me the week number of the data. calculate the difference of it plus 1
