    Weighted Lottery

    I need to hold a number of weighted lotteries, each with multiple unique winners.

    For example, here are the entries that 24 people have in two separate drawings:

    A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Win1 Win2 Win3 Win4 Win5
    7 7 1 7 6 6 1 1 6 1 1 1 4 4 1 1 1 1 1 5 5 5 5 5
    4 5 5 3 3 1 5 5 1 5 3 3 6 3 5 1 1 1 5 4 4 4 4 4

    For each drawing, I want to pick 5 unique names. In the first one, A and B should have a 7/83 chance of being drawn first, and if A is chosen first, B should have a 7/76 chance of being drawn next.

    Would this be that hard to automate with a macro? All the drawings have the same number of participants.

    Actually, that works great! I was worried about the constant recalculating, but I just figured out you can turn that off. =)

    I am having difficulty inserting columns and copying the formulas. Could you let me know how to make this form for 95 contestants and to rank the winners from 1-95. Thank you in advance for your help. Thank you.

    If you enter zero in chances to win, that name should be excluded or be at the very bottom?
    I am referring to sheet in post number 2 by shg

    If they have zero chances of winning, they are not participants.

    Agreed. But the fact of seeing those names in the winning column does it not say something about formula validity?

    I mean how can a name with 0 chances come BEFORE a name with 300 chances?

    Hmmm, must have made a mistake.

    Although entering zero under a name in row 3, that name would appear in column AC in rows other than 27.
    Cannot replicate right now and unfortunately did not save the "offending" version.
