    Slicer Change Event

Does any know of a way to monitor changes to a slicer and then upon a change it triggers something? I need to monitor a slicer and when changed it unprotects the sheet, refreshes the pivot table, then protects the sheet again.

    Re: Slicer Change Event

It's been a while since this post but there is a PivotTable Update event, which should do the trick. A normal change event would work. You could also probably use a calulate event if you put a counta function on your pivot row items. Probably some more ways too.

@erock24, whilst that would be a valid approach on an unprotectd sheet the pivotchange will not fire if the sheet is protected.
The OP's post suggests they want to remove, update and reapply protection upon the slicer event.
