Copy of 1 cell into multiple worksheets in the same workbook

It was suggested from another forum that I posted into that this should be asked here..so here goes...

I am sure that this will be easy for somone as you all have an amazing amount of experience so I will be trilled if you can help me..

I have a multi page excell spreadsheet and when I make a change to the version number and the date, on the master first page, I would like to have that change made into one of the cells that I currently have the same information on all the work sheets. Is this possible??

Yes. Press CTRl F. click on Replace then Type the old txt in Find What. Then, write the replacement on Replace with space. When your done type Replace all if you want to replace without checking what is replace; otherwise, do find all in list all locations tabs/sheets/cell containing such text.

Forgot to add this other trick. If your cell is in the same location for all worksheets. Then, just highlight all sheets, by clicking on one and holding ctrl+shft press to the last tab. This encompass all tabs or just right click on tab and group all. now be very careful....just type on the cell you want to change and this will change all cells in the same location to all tabs.

I used your suggestion, prior to your last post and it worked a trick... Yahoo!!!

Thank you so much for that help. Now when I have a multiple of Excel's to update I can do it so much more quickly and accurately.

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. Thank you Cutter for your help and the advice.. I did understand the rule but did not know the way to do it. I have now correctly rated MEBSUNTZU1290 for the great help that I rec'd as it has helped me enormously with my workload. :0)
