can you attach a file with desired situation
Hi, patel45,
maybe you should have a look at the attached workbook. The situation is explained in the textbox.
I would find it very good behaviour not to take questions out of the Unanswered Threads if everything is explained in an attachment.
@d_rose
Do you want to utilize a Find or rather a loop to go through the values in Column C and find the colour of font in the headers in the range of D1:K1 for the proper column to put the values into?
Another way without programming might be the use of a Pivot Table.
Ciao,
Holger
hi d_rose, welcome to Excelforum, option to make it, please check attachment, press "Run" button
Vielen Dank für Ihre Antwort (I hope that is the proper way to say "Thank you very much for your reply"). Since I am certainly no expert I would have to bow to your expertise. I found it very easy to highlight the background colors of specific cells containing a specific word. The font colors used in D1:K1 are mainly a visual association for consistency when applying the background colors in column C.
The ultimate goal is to copy the amounts (column B) to the correct column D1:K1) for each row
If you have the time, if you take a look at watersev's reply which works perfectly I would be interested if that is the same method you would use.

Велике спасибі за вашу відповідь (I hope that is the proper way to say "Thank you very much for your reply"). I tried and it works PERFECTLY in the example. Now I'll apply it to the actual spread sheet and let you know how it works (which I'm quite sure it will).
Once again I want to thank you very much for your help.

Grazie per la risposta, I saw your reply to HaHoBe. I know how difficult it is to understand the meanings of words from different languages and cultures.
Thanks again.

Немає за що. Гарного дня
Hi watersev, I used am online translator for my first reply then the same translator for this one which translated to "There is no. Have a nice day." So I assume you mean there is no way to say "Thank you very much for your reply" in Ukraine.
Anyway I'm putting together the actual spreadsheet now.
Гарного дня
br/Dave
