    Format cells based on text.

    Hello,

A common request, but I'm unable to find a solution for my simple need.

A have a column ( "K") that contains the letter "x" within a cell at various places.. I'd like to be able to format this "x" cell wherever it appears, plus the adjacent 5 cells to the right with a red font color,

If possible I'd like to have this as a VBA script, as it will be called by another script.

    Thanks for any help!

    Jeff

    Conditional Formatting does this!

1/. Select your Range, say K1:P20

    2/. Format > Conditional Formatting ...
    Condition 1
    Formula is
