    Date Picker Date Format issue

    Hi

I am using a date picker in a userform to allow users to select a date....no surprise there!

However, When the result is copied across when the userform is completed it is in the format dd/mm/yyyy.

How can I change the output to be in ddmmmyy i.e. 21AUG12?

    Cheers all,

The Format function is what you're looking for. It's the same in each program.

I've made various attempts. Each time I hit "ok" the date is copied to the doc as dd/mm/yyyy

Re: Date Picker Date Format issue

I haven't got any code as such...

I've searched the internet and can't seem to find anything that works. I've tried Format and Value, in various ways, some have come close, others have just resulted in error messages.

It seems as though you have to code the picker when the form is activated but I don't know enough to understand where I'm going wrong. Everythin I'm trying at the moment is guessing....

The part of the usefrom for this is simply a label and dtpicker with a button to cancel and one to submit a response (date).

If you hit cancel it closes the diaolgue box

If you hit OK it pastes the date into the word document at the current cursor location, only the format needs to be specific, i.e. DDMMMYY

Sorry, I don't know any more than that

Looks like it is time for you to post a sample workbook?
