active x combo box and button

im using a active x combo box that i inserted into an excel sheet along with a button. I'm using it as a search bar with a find button.
i have the following code to populate the drop down box with values in column B. there are merged cells the code gets rid of these spaces from the merged cells.

the code is set up so that if you click on a item in the drop down box it will go to that cell and highlight it red. the code is also suppose to be able to type in the name of one of the cells in column B and when you hit the find button it should go to and highlight that cell in red. the problem is that the find button isn't working properly and i don't know why. i will type in something I'm searching for and hit the find button but nothing happens. but after i hit the find button if i hit the the little down arrow in the pull down box (that brings up the selections) it will then go to the cell of what i typed in. its almost like the find button wont work till after i have the pull down bar selected.

thanks but i can't take credit for this code I did not make it.

i did the change you said too and its still doing the same thing.

any ideas?
