How do you create a user defined print area in a sheet using Macros?

I've developed quite a large spreadsheet with multiple sheets of raw data. I would like to create two drop down boxes (or other "choosing" method) to select a date range of data to be printed. I'd like to implement this option on each sheet separately. I have toyed with the idea of creating a separate reporting sheet, but the problem is that the sheets all have very different formats because of the nature of the data.

I'm relatively advanced when it comes to excel use, though I fear Macros are the only way I'll solve this problem and that's the one area where I'm not too hot in excel.

I've seen a couple of ways of creating a dynamic print area, but obviously this doesn't give the user the choice. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Re: User Defined Print Area

Thank you for title mods. Please post a workbook with representative data that will require custom print areas.
