Question De-Selecting Part of a Selection?

    Good Morning,

I want to know how to de-select part of a selection.
I am doing a basic copy with transpose from one part of a sheet to another. This only ever involves data in 2 columns that is switched across a row. Then (and here's the problem im having) I want to de-select the data in the upper row of the two rows (currentselection just pasted), so then I can delete the first two characters of data within the cells of the lower row.

I know how to delete the characters within the selected cells, I just don't know how to de-select the upper row.

    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Regards,

    Hi

    this should do the work

However, it's a bad programming practice to work with selection. In general in VBA you don't need to select anything (small exceptions exist).

Thanks for this! ... Yeah, I wouldn't normally do this but the range in this case has so many variants and the layout of the sheet and the action Im being asked to do would make it near impossible to do it any other way without changing the whole structure.

Thanks again, more useful code learnt.

    @ mtt23

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. I'll do that for you now but please keep in mind for your future threads that Rule #9 requires you to do that yourself. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
    Thanks.
