Return text result from User Form ComboBox entry

I have created a user form which works fine. I am struggling to write a simple If statement to take the value of a combo box entry and return a text result:

My Combo box is called Staffcombo and has options of salary scales 1 to 5 and works fine.

I want the Salary.grade to display the result of staffcombo.value box as a text result
    For example:

Should the 2 be linked in the properties window in any way?
I appreciate how thick I am but any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for this but it still does not work. Does the salary.grade.value need to be linked in anyway to the combo box in the property window or should it work as a straight If statement?

    Hi, deganwy,

my answer was for a UserForm created in the VBE - maybe you can attach a sample workbook to look at?

    Ciao,
    Holger

Finally, based on your last post, it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. I'll do that for you now but please keep in mind for your future threads that Rule #9 requires you to do that yourself.
