hi everyone,
i need help with a project im doing for my accounting class. Basically im trying to setup a simple
GL for a retailer that only sells 2 products, A and B using cash method, the accounts being used are:
Cash, A/R, supplies, Inventory, Equity, Dividends, Sales, Expenses, and Cost of Goods Sold.
So far i have created a Journal with columns:
Date Description Debit Credit
i made drop down menus for Date and for Description which is just the accounts
what i would like to do now is to create a button to run a macro that would transfer a journal entry to
the specified accounts, that way the journal worksheet stays clean with only one entry at a time and i
could run the macro when im ready to post.
the macro would need to include to skip to the next cell down every time to avoid overwritting to the accounts
im a quick learner but im fairly new to excel so pls be as detailed as you can be, in the mean time ill be looking
up some ways.
