Grouping and counting based on several criteria

    excel forum.xlsx
    Hi
This is probably the most complex problem I've posted so far.
When I query for a report from the internal database, I like to
do a count on a set of objects, and group them on a set of criteria.
I uploaded a sample notebook that shows the format I get the query
in sheet1 and the format I like it on sheet2 (simplified it to only function1 in the sample).
    what I need help to?
    - Find which column that contain the criteria i need (based on string search maybe??)
(- maybe to simplify, copy the 4 columns I need information from to another sheet)
    - Do a count of signals based on type and function

The section where I count based on package isn't as important, but would be much appreciated

    Regards

Thanks for contributing Fotis, but it didnt really work out. I've been doing a manual count, with first sorting the query, then made a countif function.
Been thinking of doing something of the same with VBA.
    - first sort function, then sort on signal
    - then do a countif for function1, function2 etc. to set the range for the first count
    - then count all based on the defined ranges.
