Code tweak needed: Copy macro not copying formats only values (with getobject)

    Hi Peeps,
I managed to find some really neat copying code which i'd preferably like to keep but i've noticed this month that it doesn't copy formats only values. Is there a quick tweak i could insert into my below code to include this?
    TIA

I've not the time to check this but you could try adding
    ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Coal").[A1:Z500].NumberFormat = .Sheets(2).[A1:Z500].NumberFormat
    after the one with .value.

Of course the sequence selection.copy... selection.paste copies values plus all formats including conditional ones.

I shoukld have mentioned that; it did occur to me. I think it is a little known feature that I only came across a month or two ago and haven't had to use yet, but it is a very useful shortcut.

Yes, your technique transfers ALL characteristics of one range to another. I thought you were trying to maintain the "values only" transfer which would remove any reference formulas so the data was "flat", then apply the formatting as well.

If that takes care of your need, please select Thread Tools from the menu above and mark the thread as solved. Thanks.
