    Delete Columns according to Heading

    Hi

I was wondering if any body knows how to delete columns according to their heading, I have a spreadsheet with 63 columns that need to be deleted depending on who I have to send a report to. Having a macro for each person who make the whole process much faster.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Shaun

I am sure what you meant by this line
"Having a macro for each person who make the whole process much faster."
But if you wish to delete multiple columns on a single sheet, or sheets withe same layout, yes, it can be done. Attach a sample book and indicate which columns you wish to delete.

Re: Delete Columns according to Heading

Sorry about the mistake, I meant I would like to create a specific macro for each person that Im required to send a report to.

I cant upload a copy of the workbook as my work wont allow uploading to non-cleared site.

But if for example i had six columns headed as being testA, testB, testC, testD, testE, testF. Can I get rid of testC & testF for one person but then get rid of testB and testF for another.

    Thanks

Marshall! I think I need to understand what are trying to achieve with out seeing a sample workbook.

Well, you get rid of all the columns with the heading if you wish. For .e. if the heading for testA Column is in A1, the entire column A will be deleted.

"Can I get rid of testC & testF for one person but then get rid of testB and testF for another".
This means you are deleting all columns with heading of testC,testF,testB and testF . In other words, you are deleting 4 columns. Or are you wish to delete a column based on user name? Please clarifay.

fly10. I think you are breaking the rules of the forum. You can not post another thread on some one else' thread. You need to start your own new thread. Yes, we can help, but you need to start a new thread with proper heading and possibly attach a sample with a desired result
